Municipality of Brooke's Point

     From Sir James Brooke, the first white man that have arrived and lived with early settlers in the area, and the prominent pointed tip of the mountain ranges that could be seen in the area.

The Municipality of Brooke's Point was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 232 dated June 28, 1949.

    
     The municipality has progressed steadily with the construction of Puerto Princesa South Road (PPSR) and has evolved as one of the fastest growing venue for economic growth in Southern Palawan.
Location:
     Brooke's Point is located in the southeastern section of the mainland Palawan at Latitude 8 degrees 47 minutes & Longitude 117 degrees 49 minutes. It is bounded by Municipality of Sofronio Espanola in the north, Sulu sea on the east, the Municipality of Bataraza in the south and the Municipality of Jose Rizal in the west.
